Bishop's Cap Cactus

$10.00

Astrophytum myriostigma is found in Mexico in mountainous terrain at 6000’ in altitude. This cactus is known for its star-like shape with prominent ribs (usually 5), giving it the "cap" resemblance. It's typically spineless and covered in small white or silvery scales, creating a frosted look. It's considered one of the easier cacti to grow, making it suitable for beginners. This cactus is a slow grower, so it won't quickly outgrow its pot. Mature plants produce beautiful, glossy yellow flowers, usually in the spring or summer. Like most cacti, it prefers dry conditions and is susceptible to overwatering. Can be grown indoors with sufficient light or outdoors in warm climates (USDA zones 9-11).

This cactus is shipped bare root (no soil or pot). All potted plants are local pickup only.
