Gray Ghost Organ Pipe

Introduce a dramatic, architectural statement to your home or garden with the magnificent Stenocereus pruinosus, commonly known as the Gray Ghost Organ Pipe Cactus. This stunning columnar species is highly coveted for its elegant, powdery color and imposing structure.

The thick, upright stems feature prominent ribs and are covered in a heavy, natural coating of glaucous (waxy, white-blue) bloom, giving the cactus its signature soft, ghostly gray-green hue. This powdery finish contrasts beautifully with the short, dark spines, creating a clean, modern aesthetic. While young plants are solitary, mature specimens will eventually branch from the base to form impressive, candelabra-like clumps, living up to their "Organ Pipe" name.

In ideal conditions, particularly when mature, the Gray Ghost rewards with beautiful, funnel-shaped flowers that open at night—white with a hint of magenta—followed by large, round, edible fruits known in Mexico as pitaya de octubre.
